Little Rock, Arkansas – Entergy Arkansas issued an announcement on Monday notifying its customers of the opportunity to apply for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), designed to help mitigate the impact of summer utility costs.

According to the details provided by Entergy, the application window for this assistance program will remain open until September 30. The primary purpose of LIHEAP is to alleviate the financial strain of energy expenses for households on lower incomes, thus making their energy costs more manageable.

Those interested can submit their applications in person through local organizations, or conveniently online. Upon successful approval of the application, Entergy will facilitate agencies to secure a “pledge” on the customer’s account. This mechanism serves to forestall any possible disconnection due to non-payment.

It should be noted that LIHEAP is accessible to residents in 75 counties across Arkansas. Further details, including a list of eligibility criteria and necessary documentation to fulfill the application process, can be obtained from the program’s website.
