Little Rock, Arkansas – A construction project slated to last four weeks is due to commence in Little Rock on Monday.

The Public Works Department of the City of Little Rock has revealed that reconstruction efforts on North Rodney Parham Road, extending from Buff Lane to Pleasant Valley Drive, will kick off on Monday, August 7.

During this period, drivers will be provided with two alternative detour routes.

With respect to detour route option one:

Traffic will be rerouted to Valley Club Circle via Pleasant Valley Drive, proceed south along Valley Club Circle, and then make a turn on Buff Lane to reach North Rodney Parham Road, as stated by the Public Works Department.

As for detour route option two:

Vehicles will be guided to Arkansas Valley Drive off Pleasant Valley Drive, continue south on Arkansas Valley Drive, and then onto North Rodney Parham Road. Contrary to prior reports, northbound traffic on North Rodney Parham Road will not be redirected into the existing southbound lane. Instead, vehicles will maintain their course in the current northbound lane through the intersection at Pleasant Valley Drive.

Upon the completion of the two new east lanes, both southbound and northbound traffic will be directed back onto these newly-constructed lanes on North Rodney Parham Road to facilitate the construction of the new west lane.

Local residents accessing Pecos Lane and other homes located along North Rodney Parham Road between Buff Lane and Pleasant Valley Drive will be granted access from the south via the temporary northbound lane during the construction period.
