A 26-year-old Arkansas man faces first-degree murder charges for fatal shooting in western Arkansas

Arkansas – A 26-year-old individual was apprehended and faces charges for first-degree murder following a fatal shooting incident in a residence in western Arkansas.

State authorities reported that Donny Wayne Deer was arrested after the early hours shooting that resulted in the death of 43-year-old Daniel Davis.

The conflict involving Deer and Davis reportedly occurred just before 2 a.m. at a house located in the 100 block of Church Street in Charleston, as per the police report.

Officials from the state police indicated that Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the scene, declaring Davis deceased upon their arrival.

The deceased was then moved to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy to ascertain the precise cause and nature of his death, as stated by officials.

The Arkansas State Police’s Criminal Investigation Division has taken over the investigation of this murder case, following a request from the FCSO.
