Little Rock, Arkansas – The Little Rock Zoo is offering a delightful weekend activity for families in Central Arkansas.

On Saturday, the zoo will host the highly anticipated Hiland Dairy Dollar Day event. Families can enjoy the zoo’s offerings at a special admission price of just $1, with complimentary parking provided.

The gates will open at 9 a.m., allowing visitors to explore the zoo until the last admission at 3:30 p.m. The zoo will close at 4 p.m., concluding the day’s festivities.

During Hiland Dairy Dollar Day, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Hiland Dairy products at the zoo for only $1, subject to availability. These products include iced tea, milk, and other refreshing beverages that are sure to enhance the zoo experience.

To ensure guests stay hydrated, the zoo will provide free water and hydration stations throughout the premises. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own refillable water bottles, allowing them to quench their thirst while enjoying the attractions.

Cherb Coleman, the plant manager for Hiland Dairy’s Little Rock facility, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for collaborating with the zoo. Coleman emphasized that the event offers everyone a chance to discover the wonders of the zoo at a nominal cost, while also allowing Hiland Dairy to give back to the community that consistently supports them.

Hiland Dairy boasts a rich history spanning over 220 years, serving Arkansas families and communities with top-quality dairy products. This commitment to excellence aligns with the values shared by Hiland Dairy and the Little Rock Zoo. Joy Matlock, the marketing director at the Little Rock Zoo, acknowledged the shared traits of dedication to families and quality between the two organizations.

Throughout the years, Hiland Dairy has been a steadfast supporter of the Little Rock Zoo, donating nearly $800,000 to aid the zoo’s initiatives. Additionally, Hiland Dairy will serve as a sponsor for the zoo’s upcoming GloWild fundraising event in November, further exemplifying their ongoing commitment to supporting the zoo and its endeavors.
