Little Rock, Arkansas – A teenager from Little Rock has been handed a five-year prison sentence following a plea agreement.

The sentence is the outcome of a case stemming from a shooting incident that seriously wounded his 12-year-old sister.

The young man was 17 when the shooting occurred on Grand Avenue on November 4, 2022. His sister suffered severe injuries to her head and arm during the incident.

Prior to the plea deal, the young man faced three felony charges, implying the seriousness of the allegations against him.

In earlier reports, the teen had fabricated a story, asserting that his sister had fallen victim to a home invasion.

However, as documented in the plea agreement filed earlier this month, he admitted to several crimes. According to court records, these offenses include 2nd degree domestic battery, filing a false report, and tampering with evidence.
