Little Rock, Arkansas – Little Rock residents will soon have the chance to celebrate the completion of new outdoor attractions at Allsopp Park as the city hosts a grand opening event featuring a new playground and mountain bike trail system.

The celebration is scheduled for July 21 at 9 a.m. and will be led by Little Rock Parks and Recreation. Community members are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and take part in the official opening of the park’s newest recreational features.

New amenities designed for recreation and adventure

The project adds two major attractions to one of Little Rock’s most popular parks. The new playground includes accessible design features that are intended to welcome children of different abilities while encouraging exploration, creativity, and imaginative play.

In addition, visitors will be able to experience a newly built mountain bike trail system that winds through the park’s natural landscape. The trails are designed to provide riders with both a fun and challenging outdoor experience while making use of the area’s natural terrain.

The grand opening ceremony will feature remarks from community leaders before the official ribbon cutting. After the ceremony, those attending will have the opportunity to explore both the playground and the new bike trails for themselves.

City officials are encouraging residents to make the event a family outing by bringing relatives, friends, and bicycles to enjoy the new amenities together.

The improvements represent another investment in outdoor recreation and public spaces, giving residents additional opportunities to stay active, spend time outdoors, and enjoy one of Little Rock’s best-known parks. The city hopes the new playground and trail system will serve families, cyclists, and park visitors for years to come while promoting healthy recreation and strengthening community connections.
