Arkansas governor announces new board and commission appointments

Arkansas – Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has formally disclosed appointments to several state boards and commissions:

Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board:

  1. Blake Hand, from Bryant, has been appointed for a term concluding on October 14, 2025. He succeeds Jeffrey Pritchett.
  2. Benjamin Hammond, residing in Sheridan, has been designated for a newly instituted position. His term will conclude on July 28, 2026.
  3. Jason Wills, from Jonesboro, also assumes a newly established role, with his term ending on July 28, 2026.

Monroe County Quorum Court:

  • Kenneth Warrick, of Roe, will serve as the Justice of the Peace for District 9. His tenure will conclude on December 31, 2024, taking over the remaining term of Franklin Davis.

Hempstead County Quorum Court:

  • John Scott Gunter, from Hope, has been appointed as the Justice of the Peace for District 5. His term will terminate on December 31, 2024, completing the remaining tenure of Robert Whitlock.

Hot Spring County Quorum Court:

  • Chris Morrison, based in Bismarck, will serve as the Justice of the Peace for District 11. He will complete the tenure left by Dennis, with his term ending on December 31, 2024.
