Little Rock, Arkansas – Pollo Campero, the renowned family-owned chicken franchise originating from Guatemala, is set to delight fans in Little Rock with plans to open multiple new locations in the coming years.
Since its first Arkansas opening in Rogers in 2008, Pollo Campero has seen a dedicated fanbase willing to travel hundreds of miles for their unique culinary experience. “It’s their brand. It’s their heritage. It’s nostalgic,” explained Blas Escarcega, vice president of franchise development, highlighting the deep connection patrons have with the brand. Recognizing this devotion, the franchise is now focusing on expanding its presence in the Little Rock metro area.
Targeted Locations and Franchise Partnerships
The company’s expansion strategy includes opening five new outlets in strategic locations such as Cabot, Benton, McAlmont, the Briarwood area of Little Rock, and Gateway Town Center in Little Rock. Escarcega emphasized the importance of finding franchise partners who share the brand’s passion and growth philosophy.
The ambitious plan aims to establish these new locations over the next five to eight years, with the first expected to open its doors by late 2025 or 2026. Each opening will be supported by an extensive marketing campaign, including robust social media outreach. “Usually when we open new markets…people that know the brand…they will come to the store,” Escarcega remarked, anticipating a warm reception from the brand’s enthusiastic followers.
Factors Influencing the Expansion
Several factors contribute to Pollo Campero’s decision to target Arkansas for expansion. These include the region’s economic growth, a business-friendly environment, immigration trends, the popularity of the Rogers location, and proximity to the company’s U.S. headquarters in Dallas. Additionally, existing infrastructure in the area is expected to aid in the efficient rollout of the new outlets.
Pollo Campero’s presence in nearby cities like Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Nashville, New Orleans, and the Dallas-Fort Worth area further reinforces its growing footprint in the region.
