North Little Rock, Arkansas – The North Little Rock Police Department is preparing for the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day for the event when everyone can safely dispose unused and expired medications. North Little Rock PD is taking part of this national event in which hundreds of departments will join the initiative. According to Rockwall News, Rockwall PD is also taking part on Saturday joining dozens of other North Texas department.
The NLRPD has taken steps to make sure that the program is available all year for people who can’t make it on Saturday. In the lobby of the North Little Rock Justice Center at 1 Justice Center Drive, there is a fixed drop box that is easy to use. This drop box, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, shows that the department is taking a comprehensive approach to the health risks and environmental damage caused by improper drug dumping.
